“Our country’s favorite fish”

As dinner was served Sunday night (8:30 pm), the house staff said “This is our country’s favorite fish”.  He called it pommes frite, but I think that refers to how it is prepared vs type of fish!

Dinner Sunday May 16, 2010 guest house CEITC

The fish was good, but I am not fond of all the bones!  ON this one which was deep fried (tasted like smelt), the spine lifted out pretty good, but still pin bones to be watchful of!  In the photo you can see the dal underneath the rice, the cucumber, tomato, vinegar, apple sald (yum!), and the vegetables!  And mango right from the tree outside the guest house for dessert!

New sheet ensemble in Room 4:  I call this the citrus collection

THe citrus sheet ensemble!

It was quite strange to have Sunday be a regular work day, not that I haven’t done plenty of weekends in my work life, but this was different.  Many, many patients in the eye center–being seen, waiting to be seen.

After working all morning, having lunch at 2 pm, took a nap.  THis was kind of our lowest energy day–altho as most everyone who knows me is aware, this kind of heat always makes me be low energy!  We did get a printer installed at the guest house, and that will be very helpful to us for when we are working here at night.
